Convention and AGM 2026
The 52nd annual convention and AGM will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026
The meeting will be held at the Western Development Museum, in North Battleford, with call to order at 2:00 pm. Tours of the Museum will follow the AGM, with cocktails and banquet to follow at 5:30 pm, with an Auction Era Induction ceremony and fundraising auction immediately following.
Fundraising Auction
Plans are forming to hold a fundraising auction on behalf of the Saskatchewan Auctioneers Association. The usual advertising vouchers will be presented for bid, and items donated by auction companies, and their sponsors, will be offered as well. The auction will be held in a live format immediately following the Auction Era Induction Ceremony. All members are encouraged to provide at least one item for sale at the auction. Our sincere thanks go out to all donors.
NOTICE OF NOMINATION:
The terms of Scott Johnstone and Frederick Bodnarus expire this year. As a 1st term director, Scott is eligible for re-election to the board. Frederick is completing his second term, and will not be eligible for re-election Nominations will open at the AGM, with voting to take place near the end of the meeting. Members are encouraged to let their name stand for a position on the Board of Directors.
AUCTION ERA INDUCTIONS:
The SAA Auction Era committee has approved three worthy individuals for induction into the Auction Era Hall of Honor. Rick Elias of Melville, Paul Moore of Yorkton, and Ross Taylor of Reston, MB, will be inducted into the Hall immediately following the banquet at convention. Please join us as we celebrate these three deserving auctioneers.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Comfort Inn & Suites in North Battleford. Attendees are responsible to reserve their own rooms, by calling 306-445-3678, and mention you are with the Sask Auctioneers convention. The block will be held until August 7, 2026.
Please complete the convention registration form attached, and return with your fees, prior to August 1, 2026, in order that the caterer can be notified.
