A very successful AGM and convention was held via Teams meeting on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Along with the regular housekeeping agenda items, two very interesting PD sessions were held. Details of the sessions can ben found under newsletters on this site.
Election of new board members was held, with Frederick Bodnarus of Saskatoon and Scott Johnstone of Moose Jaw being elected to a three year term on the Board of Directors. Loren McDougall of Regina was appointed to a three year term on the Board of Trustees. New executive for 2023 were elected at the organizational meeting immediately following the AGM, with Jamie Moore of Yorkton elected as President, Kelly Clarke of Lumsden as Vice-President, Dan Heslip of Regina as Treasurer. Committees for 2023 were appointed, with the details under Committees on this website.
Sincere thanks go out to Paul and Jamie Moore of Yorkton Auction Centre for their generous donation of hosting the annual fundraiser auction, done virtually for another year. The next convention will be our 50th Anniversary, and we are planning to commemorate this milestone in a special way. Please watch this website, as well as your emails for updates on plans as they are formulated.
We are planning to hold an induction ceremony for the newest inductees into the Auction Era Hall of Honor in 2023. We have one deserved inductee accepted at this time, and plan to induct up to three more candidates. If you have a possible nominee in mind, please contact the SAA office for details on selection criteria.
